New Juiced Crosscurrent in store !

AS most other bike enthusiasts we were pleasently stoked when we read reviews of the JUiced crosscurrent. We ordered 12 just for the one shop and sometime later received 4 ....

Our background is much different to other bike shops - and that maybe why were shocked when we opened the boxes. So bad was the finish and quality of the product we wrote to the supplier thinking we'd had a bad batch.

Upon visiting our Avanti shop in Blenheim we saw another lot and our worries were for real. Our manager there contemplated sending them back.

Among the issues;

  • the brakes might be hydraulic -but the frame jigging is way off. So the friction surface of the brake pad is not aligned with the disc.

  • wiring as per a ''old '' style electric converted bike. Nylon ties are used along the downtube, and no protection or routing exists. It all looks like an afterthought.

  • In terms of connectivity - much of it is not fit for the waether here.

  • the power of the rear motor coupled to 48v is above the legal limit in NZ so it cannot be classed as a bike - or be ridden on the road legally.

  • kickstand made of #8 wire - it bends if you blow on it

  • paint is more like primer ..

  • spokes and wheel build below par

As we were getting nowhere with the supplier - who had no prior interest or knowledge to the industry ....we decided we could do better.

Alongside our F-19 we decided to look at having a fast 700c wheel bike.

Testing , and production is now done - with the 3 man engineering team that we have been wortking with for 5 years.

Launch is 26 june 2017 - stay tuned
